Tiiny AI Pocket Lab
A product film for Tiiny, a pocket-sized AI supercomputer that runs large language models locally.
The brief
A cinematic, grounded approach to cutting-edge technology. The product is an AI computer, and the film had to make that feel real and human rather than cold and abstract, the trap most AI marketing falls into.
The approach
This was the first project where I built fully AI-generated shots into the shot list. With the product itself being an AI computer, the workflow felt natural, and leaning on AI for select shots freed up time on set for the live-action moments that mattered most. The lawyer’s-office scene was the highlight: performance, production design, and lighting all locking in at once. Shot on the Alexa 35 with Dulens APO Mini Primes, art direction by Meng Tian, and graded in-house to hold one cinematic register across both the live and the generated material.
The result
The campaign launched on Kickstarter and took off. 2,181 backers pledged over US$3 million to bring Tiiny to life, and the project earned a Kickstarter “Projects We Love” badge.
