A Kickstarter campaign film for EVVR’s Smart Plug, built around comedy and contrast rather than a conventional product demonstration.

Two households. One family tree. The East Coast Johnsons - energy wasters by nature - and their long-lost West Coast relatives, living lighter thanks to a smart home built around the EVVR Smart Plug. The brief leaned on the character-driven gap between them to sell the product without ever feeling like a product film.

Shot on ARRI Alexa Mini with ARRI Ultra Primes, the visual language tracks the contrast between the two households - the cluttered excess of one against the clean, considered spaces of the other.
