Ryan Potts (Rynos.DOP) is a Director of Photography based in China, shooting high-profile talent campaigns for international brands across China, Hong Kong, and wider Asia.

High-profile talent means compressed schedules, no warm-up shots, and a client watching every frame. The technical side has to be invisible. What the talent actually responds to is the room: whether the DP knows what they need before they have to ask, whether there's someone behind the camera worth trusting. That doesn't come from a manual. It comes from time on hard sets.

The work spans China's biggest cultural names, global fashion icons, and Hollywood co-productions. Shoots for Bvlgari and Chanel sit alongside independent and international work. Every collaboration has been direct: no production markup, no third agency in the chain, one creative lead who runs the room and delivers the frame.
